How to request deletion

If you are an app user (installer, partner or staff member)

You can ask your company's SunLedger administrator to block your login straight away. Blocking stops access, but it does not delete your data. To delete it, use step 2.
Or email us at contact@sunledger.in from your registered email address, with the subject "Delete my SunLedger account". Include your name, your registered phone number or email, and your company name. You can also call or WhatsApp us on +91 80036 21369.
We will confirm your identity using your registered phone number or email, then tell your company's administrator.
We complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm it to you.

If you are a company administrator (to close the whole company account)

Email contact@sunledger.in from the registered company email, with the subject "Close our SunLedger company account".
Tell us if you want an export of your data first. We will send it before deletion.
We delete the company account and its data within 90 days, except records the law requires us to keep (see below).

What is deleted

Your login, name, username, email address and phone number
Push notification tokens and device information
Your saved payout accounts (bank account and UPI details)
Your notifications
For a full company account: all projects, photos, documents, inventory, payment and payout records, except those listed below

What is kept, and for how long

Company business records: when a single user is deleted, the projects, payments, payout requests, invoices and documents they created belong to the company's books. They stay in the company's account so the company can keep accurate accounts.
Legal and tax records: invoices, payment, payout and tax records (including GST and TDS details) may be kept for as long as required under GST and income-tax laws (generally up to 8 years), and then deleted.
Action history: records of key actions (for example who approved a payment) are kept with the company's business records, without your contact details.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can ask us to delete specific data, such as a photo, a document or a saved payout account, without closing your account. Email contact@sunledger.in with the details, or ask your company administrator, who can remove most data directly.
